When we’re thinking about making a decision or taking an action, an Implemento conversation can help enormously to inform that decision or action by projecting it into the future and looking at possible outcomes.

First of all we identify the action or decision, and look at best and worst outcomes. Having done that, we look at ways to enhance the best outcomes and ways to recover from the worst.

The next steps are to look at the minimum we’ll accept and identify the things we’re really shooting for – this helps us set scales for measuring outcomes.

Next we look at what we must do and the things we should consider doing before we take the action or make the decision – this is where we get hindsight.
